Ashok Siddharth Rejoins BSP After Public Apology to Mayawati

Lucknow: In a significant political development, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has revoked the expulsion of former Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth, reinstating him into the party. Siddharth, who was earlier expelled for alleged anti-party activities, publicly apologized to the BSP supremo through a detailed social media post, acknowledging his mistakes and pledging loyalty to the Ambedkarite movement.

Mayawati confirmed the decision on her official handle, stating that Siddharth had long expressed regret and finally made a public apology, assuring his full commitment to advancing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s self-respect movement.

The reinstatement follows Mayawati’s recent move to restore her nephew and Siddharth’s son-in-law, Akash Anand, to the party as her political successor.

Mayawati emphasized that the decision was taken in the larger interest of the BSP and its movement, expecting Siddharth to work wholeheartedly for the party’s cause.
